Winter is Coming

Hello! Going to go ahead and try a little critique here, so here it goes <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

Vision : I would always give 5 stars in the vision department if it involves a bird! Any drawing with a bird is well envisioned in my opinion! Haha.

Originality : This is not a common species of bird that you see drawn, and I like the color scheme. Very cute and sets it apart.

Technique : Ah, technique... the place most of us have room to improve! I think you're off to a good start here. The first thing I notice, though, is that the feet and beak don't seem very solid. It's important to make them solid to contrast the feathers. I would say try to make them more bold, with darker shadows and lighter highlights, and make sure the edge of them looks sharp, as the branch's edges do. I also feel like the eye stands out too much on the face, looks very obviously drawn on whereas the rest blends more nicely. Perhaps try adding a ring around the eye, like a lot of birds have, and more gradual highlights. For the feathers, I won't give a critique, because I feel you're doing alright there and there are other aspects that would improve the drawing more drastically.

Impact : It looks good to me, but I think with some practice, it could have a lot more impact overall. Good job <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
